The Stories Trees Tell: A Nature Connection Workshop

The wisdom of trees and magic of the lush forest await you! Join us in the woods for nature connection, wisdom, silence & sharing.

Join us as we deepen into spring by listening to The Stories Trees Tell. Commune with the forest and share your experiences with other good folks!

We will immerse into nature together in a beautiful mature forest on a mountainside in Weaverville to experience whatever wisdom and magic this early Summer evening offers us.

Please bring a notebook and a pen and a blanket or camping chair to sit on as we will spend some time sitting in a circle on the ground together. We will be spending 25 minutes of discussion, orienting us to our connection with the trees, then 20 minutes of quiet time walking in and listening to nature. We will then write what we experienced and join together to share those experiences.

Wholesome organic chicken soup will be offered for $10 per bowl.

Please wear hiking shoes and long pants. Even though we will be hiking on a trail, there could be some poison ivy along the way.

The event will be led by Adam Laufer and Erin Everett, husband-and-wife Asheville-area residents who are also quiaclazques healers and tradition-holders in the Nahua lineage of the Central Highlands of Mexico. The event is free and we will meet in the parking area!

Donations are appreciated and can be sent to Adam and Erin.

This event will take place on a mountain 25 minutes' drive north of Asheville, NC.

This event was originally founded with the premiere forest conservation group in the Southeast region, Dogwood Alliance.

Traditional Weather Harvest Ceremony

Our Asheville-area Nahua-tradition Weather Workers will lead us in a gratitude ceremony giving thanks for the blessings received from Weather. The Harvest Festival is a once-a-year celebration which stands on the foundation of a tradition that has assisted communities for generations to build relationship with their local weather. Your attendance at this communal celebration helps complete the cycle of reciprocity with the Weather Beings by acknowledging their life-sustaining gifts and offering thanks for those gifts.
You will be walked through this traditional gratitude ceremony dedicated to the Wind, Clouds, Rain, Sun and Lightning.
