Join Asheville Nahua lineage-holders Adam and Erin for our twentieth annual Fall traditional devotions and offerings to honor and celebrate the gifts we have received from the Heavens and Mother Earth. Give thanks for the abundant harvest!
Let's join together and honor the living world for the gifts that fill our lives every day. This is our chance to celebrate Nature, the Heavens (the Rain, Sun, Clouds, Wind, and Lightning), Mother Earth and Her rich Lands, running with pure Crystalline Water from Her Rivers, Mountains and Streams — all of those myriad expressions of our beautiful, alive world that nourish us human people with bountiful fruits, veggies, flowers, healthy animals and trees and surround us with all good things. We are so blessed. You're invited to join us Sunday, October 4 to give back and give thanks.
In the old days, our ancestors experienced the inherent uncertainty of life just like we do today. As change came, with its potentials for threat and for opportunity, our ancestors needed to find the Center, something stable in the middle of life, something they could count on to hold strong through all the transformation. In these times of great change in our world, seasonal ceremonies like this Harvest celebration give all of us a place to gather with each other to find a much-needed foundation no matter what our lives bring us.
To donate in support of your local quiaclazques (Central Mexican lineage workers with healing, time and weather) lineage-holders who organize ceremonies and events for us all to pray for beneficial weather and nature blessings for our region, please use this Venmo link or donate into the gourd or basket at the ceremony.
Location: 25 minutes drive north of downtown Asheville, on a mountain
To bring:
Upon registration, you will be given a list of three simple traditional offerings. Bring these to offer a gift to give back to the Rain, Clouds, Wind, Lightning, Sun and Earth for all that they have brought to us this year.

The clothes/hat you need to enjoy the weather at this partially outdoor event
Sturdy hiking shoes/boots. And hiking poles if you need them. We will be running a shuttle up to this mountain location, but some attendees will enjoy the short but steep walk up the hill.
