about adam and erin

Erin and Adam are honored by the respect and guidance of their human elders and guides. They return to their spiritual home in the Central Mexico highlands multiple times per year to deepen their learning, perform and attend ceremonies on the slopes and caves of the sacred volcanoes there, and spend time growing their understandings of their tradition and connections with their elders and colleagues.

Adam Laufer

Adam Laufer is an artist, a maker and a healer. His past experience includes teaching Iyengar yoga full-time and being a certified Polarity Therapist. Mysterious forces led him to be initiated with his wife, Erin, into an ancient Central Mexico lineage in 2003. His life is devoted to joyful (and only occasionally grumpy) service.

Adam's divine calling to heal has been recognized by multiple tradition-holders. He opens his doors to provide healing sessions in the Asheville, NC area at his healing retreat north of Asheville. And, together with his wife and colleagues, he offers ceremonies to help our community realign ourselves with the living world around us.

He helps us both to give thanks for the gifts of Mother Nature and to align with the human cycles and the cycles of these times.

Adam is a quiaclazques healer, also known as granicero or tiempero (time-worker) in Spanish.

Erin everett

When Erin was a child, she felt a strong calling to work with God. She experienced the world as alive and speaking to her in mystical ways, especially when she was in the forest, by streams, or outside under the clouds.

A lightning interaction in youth and strange illnesses was discovered to be a spiritual calling. In 2003, these experiences called her and her husband, Adam, to a specific ancient lineage of working with Weather and Healing.

Because of her ongoing mysterious illness and the lightning strike in her past, when she was in her 20s, a trusted elder and friend advised her that she could be healed by a venerable shaman in an ancient lineage there. She and her husband traveled to visit esteemed weather worker and quiaclazques healer don Lucio Campos Elizade, who immediately recognized and initiated Erin and Adam as tradition-holders in his ancient weather and healing lineage. He was their teacher until his death. They both devote their lives to the work of the Nahua/Mexica lineages based in Central Mexico.

Erin began hearing the voice of God in 1997. The voice became stronger around the time of her initiation in 2003. Through the mystical understandings and legacy of her Nahua and Mesoamerican teachers, including don Lucio and her living human and spiritual elders, she continues to deepen her relationship with the sublime Unseen Beings of Wind, Cloud and Weather, as well as the Virgin of Guadalupe, San Miguel (Saint Michael) Archangel, and Mary Magdalene, among other spiritual helpers.

Don Lucio passed his legacy on to Erin and Adam upon his death. Today, they continue a profound engagement with their living tradition under the wing of yet another highly regarded Nahua curer who embodies an ancient healing lineage, and with a growing network of Nahua traditional quiaclazques ritualists rooted in ancient ways.

In addition to her traditional work, Erin is a life coach trained by multiple teachers including Newfield Network. She is a Plant Spirit Medicine graduate, certified in the Integrative Body Systems method, and has apprenticed to a number of alternative medicine healers, including acupuncture teacher and renowned plant medicine healer, Eliot Cowan.

With her husband, Adam Laufer, she is the founder of the spiritual-social movement called Way of the Dove, a blossoming ministry informed by continued learning from the trainings, teachers, and elders within her spiritual lineage.
